4-5-FIT Circuit Class (as of 4/15/14)
Participants travel through 12-15 exercise stations, mostly strength training machines. Each person lifts and lowers to a count by the instructor. Participants are responsible for setting their own resistance levels and follow a chart customized for them based on a strength test. Circuits are performed at 40, 50, 60 or 75% of maximal strength. Number of repetitions and the speed of lifting and lowering is varied on each circuit. The longer, evening class also includes exercises that involve body weight movements.
This class is offered twice a week:
Mondays at 7:00 p.m. for an hour
Wednesdays at 12:15 p.m. for 45 minutes
Each session costs $15, but discounted punch cards (for 10 classes) can be purchased for $120 (or less for cash purchases).
